In today’s fast-paced world, taking time for self-care is essential. It's wise practice to regularly take moments to refill your own cup, so that you are not in an energy deficit, running your battery low. We can actually have an overflow of energy, and it is from this overflow that we can be most loving and caring of others.
A warm bath filled with the calming scents of chamomile, lavender, and rose petals is one of my favorite ways to fill my cup. Adding Epsom salts enhances the experience by soothing sore muscles and promoting relaxation.
Here’s how to create the ultimate calming bath using Epsom salts and the aromatic tea blend Big Love for a truly indulgent moment of self-love. Big Love - Organic Herbal Tea | Tea of Light
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Epsom salts
- 3 tablespoons of Big Love tea (contains organic chamomile, lavender, lemongrass, lemon verbana, and rose petals)
Instructions:
-
Prepare Your Tea Blend: In a small bowl, measure out 3 tablespoons of Big Love tea. This combination of organic chamomile, lavender, and rose petals not only smells amazing but also provides natural, calming benefits for your mind and body. Chamomile helps to reduce stress, lavender promotes a peaceful atmosphere, and rose petals add a gentle, romantic touch. Or use your favorite yummy smelling wellness herbs and flowers.
-
Mix with Epsom Salts: In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of Epsom salts with your tea blend. Stir gently to ensure the tea is evenly distributed through the salts. The Epsom salts will dissolve in the warm bathwater, releasing their soothing properties, while the tea will infuse the water with its aromatic fragrance.
-
Prepare Your Bath: Fill your bathtub with warm water, making sure the temperature is comfortable. As the water runs, slowly pour your Epsom salt and tea blend into the tub. Give it a gentle stir with your hand to help the salts dissolve.
-
Relax and Enjoy: Once your bath is ready, immerse yourself in the water, breathe deeply, and let the calming effects of the tea and salts wash over you. This is your time to relax, reflect, and embrace self-care.
And to go even deeper into the self-Love moment, tell yourself a few lovely things that you appreciate about yourself. Part of you will love to hear it and will relax even more knowing that a loving being is present. With the herbs, the salts and your self-talk words, you will nourish your body and spirit.
Love,
Maryse
