I have been a devotee of the work of Louise Hay and Florence Scovel Shinn for years. My mom had a copy of Louise Hay's You can Heal Your Life on her bedside table in the 80s.
These trailblazing women advocated the power of the spoken word, and that Divinity is benevolent and responds to Love-filled words and trust. They spoke of the power of affirmations and the mind-body-spirit connection. They emphasized inner empowerment.
Louise and Florence also shared a great Love for all of life and the greater good, an optimism, and a deep belief that our spoken words, trust and faith create certain realities.
What a generous and inspiring legacy they have left us.
It was only quite recently that I discovered a connection between these two remarkable women. Louise Hay, who admired Florence Scovel Shinn, was given an unpublished manuscript of Florence’s decades after her passing. Louise went on to publish it under the title The Magic Path of Intuition, penning the introduction herself.
I was amazed to discover this as I had been studying both Florence’s and Louise’s work independently, not knowing there was such a close link between them.
I follow humbly in the footsteps of these two legends. My work is based on their shared belief that words carry a certain innate energy, and that you can speak words as decrees to connect with Life Force, raise your frequency and align yourself with abundance, joy, happiness, and wellness.
