When we’re drinking a herbal wellness tea, we’re receiving the renowned benefits of a certain herb, and choosing to care for ourselves. With every sip we’re saying: you’re important to me. We’re also sending the message: I want you to be well, happy, calm, or ____ (fill in the blank). We’re bringing our attention and intention back to ourselves and prioritizing our wellbeing. That in and of itself is a very powerful way to lead your life.

We all have our favorite wellness teas. Here are my top 2, the ones I turn to again and again in my own personal wellness practices.
Vervain
Vervain, also known as lemon verbena, is a very calming herb. Plus, I love the taste. In the summer I pick it fresh from the garden, and steep it in boiling water for 5 minutes. It’s an easy herb to grow in a pot and is a wonderful addition to a herb garden. We use it in several of our tea blends like Soothing PM.
Ginger
Ginger tea has a long tradition in our family. My grandmother made this tea on the farm when one of her 10 children had either digestive problems or was staving off a cold. Ginger tea is known as an immunity tea as it is reputed to strengthen the immune system.
Here’s to your wellness and happiness one sip at a time!
